Porsche is changing its business strategy, focusing increasingly on luxury, personalized and extremely limited-production cars.
The German manufacturer aims to increase the average price of vehicles, especially 911 models and unique projects built according to customer requirements.
According to Alexander Fabig, Porsche's vice president for products and customization, the company is planning 15 such projects, with prices starting at $1.8 million and potentially reaching up to $15 million.
One example is the unique Flachbau RS model, inspired by the legendary 1978 Porsche 935 Moby Dick racing car.
Porsche also intends to create special versions of existing models, the prices of which could be over 200 percent higher than the base models.
In addition, the company is also expanding its restoration program for iconic models, such as the Carrera GT, where just modernizing a vehicle can cost up to $784.
The objective is clear: fewer ordinary cars, more exclusivity and significantly greater profits.
