Dhe MTV VMAs ka vënë përballë dy këngëtaret me origjinë shqiptare Dua Lipa dhe Bebe Rexha.

Yjet e muzikës pop janë nominuar në të njëjtën kategori, atë të Best Dance.

Bebe kryeson me dy këngë të nominuara “Call You Mine” në bashkëpunim me The Chainsmokers dhe “Say My Name” në bashkëpunim me David Guetta dhe J Balvin.

Ndërsa Dua është nominuar me këngën “Electricity” në bashkëpunim me Silk City.

Por nuk është hera e parë që Dua dhe Bebe vihen përballë. Gjithashtu këngëtaret konkurruan me njëra-tjetrën në Billboard Music Award 2019.

MTV Video Music Awards 2019, drejtuar nga Sebastian Maniscalco, do të zhvillohet në 27 gusht.
